I admit to not really following this chain of emails, but if you are talking a smooth transition from the end to the start, I find playing through the first note or two of the "one" works really well.

Good strategy patrick,  will this strategy be henceforth known as the Brylcreem maneuver? and if so , will this mean women won't be able to resist getting there fingers in our loops?
