hmmm, could this be lacking from the windows version of Bidule? In Mobius' MIDI Device tab I have Bidule1-Bidule4 MIDI devices, you don't?

? 'cos he has Mobius within FL within Bidule ?

Is that midi yoke necessary? Just send the sync to one if
        bidule's midi ports.

yup. i have it set up where FL (inside bidule) runs mobius
as a plugin. mobius sends clock sync out thru a midi yoke
port via midi ox. That clock sync is returned to fl via
bidule, thus making FL studio a slave to its slave. HAHA!!!

Were you able to get FL to sync?

I'm thinking I might still just go with Bidule. I'm
gonna test run it for a while to see if it will work
correctly but I think it might be just what I need.

Be sure to document the issues you have and
send a note to the developers. They are
                            actively maintaining (and improving) this
software and I'm sure proper win8 support is
                            part of their short-term plans.

                        agreed,
Plogue don't make a great profit on Bidule, but
                        it is the flagship
for the more lucrative side of their business
                        (selling their expertise
                        to other bigger companies).
So if you can make a note of the exact error
                        codes I'm sure Plogue
                        would be appreciative.

..and I'd also agree it's often 3rd party
                        plugins that cause problems,
                        especially on the later Windows.
What would have been a helpful error message in
                        WinXP, (which the host
has handled correctly and safely), can cause the
                        host to be shut down
by Win 7 (and Win 8).
( I've got first hand experience as a programmer
                        for Windows apps
that Win 7,8 does this...it's connected with
                        Windows'improved'
                         security. )
