Re: FCB 1010 Question

Yes Bill that should be true. I think, assuming the thing is sufficiently programmable, you would be trading some of the deep programmability of the Gordius for the portability of the 12-step.

I'll be looking forward to your review :)

The way I see it, if I can get at 12 notes on one bank, that is the same as I can have with my Gordius without having to add a  two button momentary switch,  is that much true.? I am used to toggling banks and not having every function I use on one bank, so that is no issue for me, the biggest issue is latency and Im getting the impression there isn't an issue with the 12 step.

Yes. But that is not what I wanted to do - I'm using those buttons for other things. I actually bought it because the diamond config hinted I might be able to lose my boss next/prev switches and add a second axis as well.

Boo hoo poor poor pitiful me ;)

Can't you just program those functions to different buttons on different banks?

Bill the 12 step for Möbius is a total fail, for me, because there is just no way to program the diamond button config at right to do next/prev loop along one axis and next/prev track along the other. I've tried hacks and workarounds and after all that plus corresponding with KMI I am certain that it cannot be done, either in first gen or latest.

May not be a deal breaker for you but it sure is for me, and now I use the 12 step mainly for simple sample triggering.

You got that right! Happy GORDIUS user since 2006 , Though I must say I have eyes for a McMillan 12 step which seems like an excellent option for Möbius Control, I like the 12 steps switched better than the soft step  and is ready to go for midi notes right out of the box. Anyone using a 12 step on this list for Mobius??

What an awful controller!  Unless your looking for an additional source of indeterminacy in your music...
