December 7, 2004 - Today IVL announced that they have revived the Electrix division. They say they plan to introduce new products, but no word on what they are. Read the Press Release
July 2, 2002 - Today IVL (parent company of Electrix) announced that they are closing the Electrix division and discontinuing all Electrix products. We are sad to say, this is the end of the Repeater. Such a short life! You can see their announcement if the site is still up, http://www.electrixpro.com. An interesting article published in Report on Business magazine interviews Phil Scott, president of IVL, where he indicates that Electrix was dropped so they could focus on developing technology for Karaoke products. October 25, 2001 - Electrix has released v1.1 of the software for Repeater. You can download it from their site. Electrix reports that it fixes many bugs found in the first version.You will need a CFC card reader in order to update a Repeater with it.
August 16, 2001 - Electix has finally begun shipping their long awaited entry into real-time looping, the Repeater! People have been waiting a long time since it was first shown at NAMM over a year ago. The anticipation has been great in the Looper's Delight community, in fact we thought a few people might have a stroke if they didn't get it soon.
