One reason might be that singer songwriters normally do not buy a looping pedal out of interest for looping but rather for covering up for lacking backing musician and getting a show together. If you are not very interested in looping per se you don't spend time posting to this list. :-) Greetings from Sweden Per Boysen www.perboysen.com http://www.youtube.com/perboysen On Wed, May 9, 2012 at 11:55 AM, mark francombe <mark@markfrancombe.com> wrote: > On Wed, May 9, 2012 at 10:42 AM, andy butler <akbutler@tiscali.co.uk> > wrote: >> >> >> ...but rock bands looping their recordings secretly in the >> studio...that's >> really dull > > > Of course, because its often used to hide bad-musicianship (theres the > pot > calling the kettle black) but theres till alot of looping in a band > context > that kinda works BECAUSE the loopy-ness of the track is important, Tell > me > that Ministry didnt loop all their rock stuff. > > Nowadays I think of looping on a DAW as not being looping at all, but > "recording".
